Lunchbox Jokes 100 Fun TearOut Notes for Kids Deana Gunn Wona Miniati 9781938706134 Books Reviews
- We got these for our second grade son. He loves them, but even more, his friends love them. The kids at his table get all excited when they see he's brought his lunch and want to know what the joke is. It's even gotten to where the lunchroom monitor will see his lunch box and bring him the microphone so he can share the joke with the entire lunchroom. Definitely a great idea for the younger kids.
- When our little one started to read, we procured these as a motivational tool during lunches to "read" more. The truth is though, his friends probably had more chuckles then he did initially, as it's more fun to hear jokes then to read them outloud and try to process them; but it did get him to read/pick up a few new words here and there. I read the jokes as I pack them and the jokes are simple and do create some chuckles!
They would be too simple for kids older than 8. - i got these for my 9 yr old son in 4th grade...they are a little too easy for him, some of his classmates were making fun of him and they called them "baby jokes" Guess they are in the age of trying to be cool and older.
But I just told him they are just jealous. I would say these are great for younger minded kids maybe 1st-3rd grade? But my son does enjoy some of them, as I continue to put them in his lunch - These notes are cute, but we definitely prefer the animal version of this book. There are also quite a few references in here to ghosts, vampires, and the like. These are not our family's favorite subjects. I am likely to try another version next time. In general, however, we love the Lunchbox Jokes. There is even a space to add your own note to brighten their day!
- Cover looks all colorful but it’s very dull inside. Everything is the same color. Jokes are pretty lame...few good one. Only thing I like is that there’s space to write your own message.
- I like these notes. Ive bought several different kinds, and I like that you fold them (like a card). Joke on the front, then they open it, and the answer to the joke/riddle is inside. Also gives me a blank side, to write my own little sweet note. The jokes are perfect (my daughter is in 1st grade) and she finds them funny.
- The first day of school can be rough and I bought this to give my son a smile during lunch time. They are super silly jokes for all ages! They tear out really easy and will im pretty sure we will have many laughs this school year!
- My son has had these all year. I put one in his lunch every day. When I forgot to do so he would remind me the next day. He was in first grade and they were appropriately goofy. It was something all the kids around him looked forward to during lunch. The school counselor took an interest and collected them from him.
